This page is meant to help new and current UTemps Employees understand and access employee resources at The University of Utah.
Send us an updated resume regularly!
- Departments get their first impression of you through your resume. This is why it is vital that you are continually updating your resume with responsibilities and skills you acquired and practiced with each of your UTemps temporary assignments. Just because it's a temp job doesn't mean it doesn't count! Put it on your resume and send us the updated copy!
- In communicating with University departments, we have seen that the following features in a resume highly increase your chances for employment:
- When listing previous employment, provide concise details concerning your job responsibilities and skills you learned and/or utilized. (Not just the company, your title, and the dates you worked!)
- When listing skills and qualifications, clearly state your computer/software knowledge as well as your office skills along with your specialty skills.
- Length. Don’t make your resume too long, but don’t leave out any information. If you think something might stand out in any way, add it to your resume! This is your time to “brag” about yourself, so take advantage of it!
- Regularly e-mail us updated versions of your resume at UTemps@utah.edu.
