This page is meant to help new and current UTemps Employees understand and access employee resources at The University of Utah.
What are some alternative options for getting to the University of Utah?
- UTA Ed-Pass
- All University of Utah employees are eligible to ride UTA (Utah Transit Authority) public transit for FREE with your UCard and UTA Ed-Pass. This includes all UTA Busses and TRAX (an upgrade fee is charged when riding FrontRunner). See UTA for more information regarding maps, schedules, and upgrade fees. Once you arrive at the University of Utah, utilize the FREE Campus Shuttle (discussed below).
- Get your UTA Ed-Pass from the Union UCard office, Commuter Services, or the Campus Store.
- When using your Ed-Pass to enter or exit a form of public transit, just tap your Ed-Pass on the designated pads located in UTA busses and on TRAX station platforms. Be sure to tap your Ed-Pass when entering AND exiting.
- Riders using the UCard and Ed-Pass will be subject to random spot checks to ensure they are currently enrolled students or University of Utah employees. If you are asked to show your UTA ridership ticket, show your UCard and Ed-Pass. Both are required to ride UTA for free.
- Be sure to keep track of your Ed-Pass. If it is lost or stolen, a replacement Ed-Pass costs $80.00.
