This page is meant to help new and current UTemps Employees understand and access employee resources at The University of Utah.

How do I get around the University of Utah?

  • Interactive Campus Map
    • Click this link to use the University’s interactive map of the entire campus.  If you are searching for a specific location, use the Search field and then choose the appropriate suggestion from the drop-down list.
  • Campus Shuttle Maps
    • Click this link to view interactive and live maps of the FREE Campus Shuttle system at the University of Utah.
  • Parking Passes
    • If you elect to not utilize public transit and will be parking your car on campus, you have the option of purchasing a U, E, or M parking pass.
      • Commuter Services offers various options when purchasing year- and semester-long parking passes.  Visit Commuter Services and they will help you get the best deal, whether it be a regular pass or a temporary pass.
      • If you are interested in temporary parking passes for any number of weeks, you may visit Commuter Services and purchase a Temporary U pass at a rate of $6.00 per week, Temporary E pass at a rate of $4.00 per week, or even a Temporary A pass at rate of $6.00 per day.
    • You are required to pay for the parking pass in-full at the time of purchase.  You are not eligible to choose the payroll deduction option, nor are you able to purchase a regular A parking pass.
    • Parking is often difficult at the University.  The purchase of a parking permit does not necessarily guarantee you a parking spot.  Due to these difficulties, we highly recommend you utilize FREE public transportation (TRAX, UTA Busses, Campus Shuttle).
  • Parking Map
    • This map shows all parking lots on campus and labels them with the respective pass they require.
  • Of course, other options include walking, biking, running, skating, long-boarding, and anything else you can imagine to navigate the University!
