Changes in the Law: Discrimination, Sexual Harassment, and the ADA

  

HR Recruitment and the OEO/AA have joined together to present important and critical information regarding new law, updated law, and new University processes. This course will provide managers and supervisors with information and instruction regarding the new process required for conducting background checks. Additionally, the OEO/AA will present updated information regarding discrimination law, the Lilly Ledbetter Act, and the University\'s obligations under the new ADA Amendments Act. You will learn, through practical examples and actual case histories, what pitfalls to avoid when dealing with problem employees and how to create an office environment that is safe and welcoming to an ever-increasingly diverse workforce.
