Essential Functions
- Performs tests on organic and inorganic material with highly sophisticated and automated equipment to determine chemical and physical composition and properties.
- Plans and develops new experimental analytical procedures and protocol to accomplish specific required analysis which have not previously been encountered.
- Tests and evaluates procedures to ascertain accuracy, reliability, precision, and the effect of materials and substance for the potential of interfering with analytical results.
- Calculates all experimental results and makes reports to the appropriate personnel.
- Orders, inventories and stores supplies, labware, and instrument parts essential for the operation of the laboratory.
- Ensures the general operation of the laboratory by maintaining the physical facilities and instrumentation.
- Prepares and packs sampling devices and kits to be used in the collection of laboratory samples.
