Bachelor\'s degree in Statistics, a related field or equivalency; four years of related experience; and familiarity with theoretical and practical non-standard statistical techniques required. Working knowledge of computer systems and demonstrated human relation and effective communication skills required. Essential Functions
- Determines appropriate statistical methods for the correct analysis of data by applying knowledge of, and performing research in biostatistics.
- Performs, or oversees the performance of calculations to ensure the correctness and appropriateness of the results.
- Utilizes existing statistical, or mathematical routines, or develops programs for new techniques so that appropriate analysis of medical experiments may be performed.
- Communicates technical problems/solutions to investigators, or research directors by reducing complex statistical results to non-technical language so they can be understood.
- Assists in the proper interpretation and presentation of results in various media, including articles for publications and seminar presentations.
