Helpful Hints
Carefully read the descriptions of the positions in which you are interested and apply only for those jobs for which you meet the requirements. If the salary range for a position is listed in the posting, make sure that it meets your own salary requirements.
Fill out your job application completely, with up-to-date information about your past employment, education, any licenses or certifications, and contact information including e-mail.
Customize your resume by highlighting your experience that applies directly to the job requirements outlined in the job posting. If you wish to include a cover letter, do so on the first page of your resume.
Copy and paste your resume into the text box on the employment application (remove dashes, hyphens, slashes, etc. for best results) and attach your resume (only Microsoft Word documents are accepted).
It is recommended that you save a copy of each job posting that you apply for, for reference if you are contacted for an interview. If you are not able to access a job posting (for example, a job that has closed) you may contact Human Resources at 801-581-2169 for assistance.
You may receive e-mail notifications of the status of your application. For example, when your application has been successfully submitted, when it has been reviewed and forwarded to the hiring department, when your application is no longer under consideration for a particular position, or when a posted job is filled or cancelled.
When you are a finalist for a position, you are generally contacted by a Human Resources recruiter or by the hiring department to arrange a telephone or personal interview.
