Convenience Services
The University offers a number of convenience services across campus and at the Hospital.
- University of Utah Credit Union
Employees are eligible to join the University Credit Union. There are two branches on campus and one at the Hospital. Numerous ATM machines and additional credit union branches are located throughout the community. -
University Libraries
Employees are encouraged to take advantage of the many resources available through the three libraries on campus. - Discount Tickets
Employees may purchase discount tickets to University sponsored theatrical productions, special events, lectures, concerts, and sporting events. Reduced admission prices are also available for museums located on the campus and to the neighboring planetarium and arboretum. Tickets to ski resorts, movie theaters, amusement areas, and other local events are available through the Hospital Cashier’s Office and the Union Building Main Desk. Discount travel tickets are available through the University Travel Club. - U Card
All employees are required to obtain and carry an official University Identification Card. The card features a smart chip which allows employees to easily purchase items and conduct financial transactions around campus without having to carry cash. It is accepted at all campus dining facilities, vending machines, convenience/employee stores, libraries, recreational facilities and cafeterias. - UTA
University of Utah Employees can ride Utah Transit Authority (UTA) public buses and light-rail system (TRAX) for FREE with their University ID card otherwise known as the "U" Card. - Additional Services
In addition to those mentioned above, there are many other convenience services available to University employees:- On-site optical shop offers employees discounts on both products and services.
- Discounted wireless phone service.
- Discount phone cards.
- Gift vouchers and certificates.
- Discount health club memberships.
- Remote access to personal computers.
- Discounts at the University Hospital pharmacy.
- Film processing and development.
- Picture framing.
- On-campus postal services.
- Web-based classified advertisement services.
