Retirement Plans
University Retirement PlansThe University has two types of retirement plans, University-funded and employee-funded.
- The University-funded Retirement Plans are fully paid by the University and employees in benefit-eligible positions are automatically enrolled when they become eligible to participate.
- The Employee-funded Supplemental Retirement Savings Plans are voluntary retirement plans all University employees may participate in, regardless of their benefit-eligibility status.
Employees may also open a UESP 529 College Savings Plan through The Utah Educational Savings Plan (UESP) and enroll in after-tax payroll deductions through the University.
